Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center; for the addition of a fire / police facility; for the demolition of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.
Commercial Contractor to help oversee 2026 renovations of community center and fire department addition. The City of Sylvania is accepting proposals from licensed commercial contractors for work that will include various building improvements at the Cail Community Center and construction of an addition to the Fire Department. Preference will be given to contractors located in Screven County. Bidders must provide: Proof of a valid Georgia commercial contractor's license Proof of insurance (Liability & Workers' Compensation) Contractor fee proposal and cost breakdown List of similar completed projects and references Proposed project schedule. The selected contractor may also be considered for additional City renovation projects in 2026. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities. Cost estimates of $300,000-$550,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
