The work consists of furnishing all products and equipment and performing all labor necessary for water system improvements. This includes, but is not limited to: installing 1,880 linear feet of 6" C900 PVC water main, water laterals, a 6" fire hydrant assembly, connecting to the existing system, removing and replacing asphalt with 6" concrete, and grassing. The time allotted for completion of the work is ninety (90) calendar days. Question Deadline 05/13/2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be directed to Engineer. Questions received less than seven (7) calendar days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Bidders must provide proof of a valid license by the State of Georgia as a "Utility Contractor" and must employ a "Utility Manager" certification holder for oversight of all the work. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier's check in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid. All bonds must be by a surety company licensed in Georgia with an "A" minimum rating and a financial strength of at least five times the contract price. Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price, will be required of the successful bidder. Each bond must be accompanied by a "Power of Attorney" authorizing the attorney-in-fact to bind the surety and certified to include the date of the bond. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. Contractors must comply with E-Verify regulations.
