The San Francisco Housing Authority is seeking bids for licensed, professional General Contractors for Plaza East Apartment exterior painting. Reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in the IFB process, or to terminate the IFB process at any time, if deemed by the Agency to be in its best interests. Approximate Delivery Date / Start Date: 10/30/2025 Question Deadline 07/17/2025 at 3:00 PM PT All questions and requests for information must be addressed in writing to the CO Karina Suarez, Paralegal Telephone: (628) 333-2858 E-mail: RFPprocurement@sfha.org This project entails the complete exterior painting of twentytwo (22) three-story residential buildings located at Plaza East Apartments. The scope includes all building exteriors, such as stucco, trim, vents, windows, doors (interior and exterior sides), exposed conduit, gas lines, electrical boxes and panels, and other related surfaces. 2.1.2.2 As needed exterior repairs. Prior to power wash and painting contractor shall assess exterior for the following including but not limited to window trim, door trimming/threshold, Stucco, repairs/patches. 2.1.2.3 Contractor shall provide comprehensive preparation and painting services, including but not limited to: Surface Preparation: o Pressure wash all stucco, siding, and trim to remove dirt, mold, and debris. o Pressure wash all exterior decks, balconies, and stairs. o Scrape all loose and flaking paint. o Sand all surfaces to ensure proper adhesion. o Caulk cracks and joints where necessary. o Patch holes and cracks in stucco and wood surfaces. o Spot prime bare wood, sanded areas, and metal as required. o Mask all windows and cover surrounding landscaping to protect non-painted surfaces. 2.1.2.4 Painting: o Number of total exterior colors: five or less. o Prime all surfaces, followed by two (2) finish coats of paint. o Stucco surfaces to be spray-applied and then back-rolled. o Paint all roof fascia board. o Paint all trim, window jambs (exterior only), and drip edges. o Paint both sides of exterior doors. o Spot prime all doors and jambs as needed before finish painting. o Paint all exposed conduits, electrical boxes, and panels. o All metal surfaces (ferrous/non-ferrous), including doors, jambs, and roof caps, to be primed and painted. o Etching, scratches, and chips on doors and jambs must be sanded and smoothed so that they are no longer visible after painting. o Gutters and downspouts spot treated as needed. o All unpainted/exposed roof caps or metal areas (identified during the job walk) shall be prepared, primed, and painted. o Exclude exterior decks. o Exclude exterior balconies. o Exclude exterior stairs and railings.
