Scope of Work: This project will modernize two passenger elevators with new machines, controls, dispatching systems, door equipment, signal fixtures, and upgraded interiors. Install LAN cabling in hoist ways and machine rooms, removal fire sprinklers from elevator hoist ways, and reroute of hot water pipe in the machine room. Elevators recall programming with the building's fire alarm system per code requirement. The time allowed for completion is 480 consecutive calendar days. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible responsive bidder. A corporate surety bond or certified check for ten percent (10%) of the amount bid must accompany each bid. Administrative Code Section 6.22(a) requires all construction greater than $25,000 to include performance and payment bonds for 100% of the contract award.
