The Project involves the complete removal of an existing ballast roofsystem and replacement with a new modified bitumen roofing system at the ClintonHigh School. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required ofthe successful Bidder. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract completion date ofJanuary 16, 2026. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after opening ofbids. Proposals shall be submitted in duplicate only upon the blank proposal forms provided with the specifications and must be accompanied by Proposal Security in the form of a Certified Check or acceptable Bid Bond in the amount equal to at least five percent (5%) ofthe Base Bid: such security to be forfeited as liquidated damages, not penalty, by any bidder who fails to carry out the terms ofthe proposal, execute a contract and post-Performance and Payment Bonds in the form and amount within the time specified. The Bid Bond, ifused, shall be payable to the Owner. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Interpretations: Should a bidder find discrepancies in or omissions from the plans and specifications or be in doubt as to their written meaning, he should immediately notify the Architect in writing.
