The Town of Rock Hall, Maryland (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Boundary Avenue Water Main Replacement Work consists of replacing an existing water distribution main along Boundary Avenue with new water main piping including approximately 2,105 linear feet of 8-inch water main and 40 linear feet of 6-inch water main. Work also includes but is not limited to installation of new fittings, gate valves, hydrants, connecting to existing hydrants, replacement of approximately 25 water services with new 1.0-inch services, excavation, dewatering, pavement restoration, existing site restoration, chlorination and disinfection, and testing of new water main. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, appliances, materials, and incidentals and shall perform all operations required to completely finish all of the work in the manner approved by the Engineer. Copies of the Contract Documents may be purchased at the office of George, Miles & Buhr, LLC, 206 West Main Street, Salisbury, Maryland 21801, upon payment of Forty Dollars ($40.00) for each flash drive, non-refundable. Hard copies may be purchased for One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($150.00). Checks shall be made payable to George, Miles & Buhr, LLC. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. This project is funded with federal Community Development Block Grant funds and is subject to federal labor Standards which includes Davis -Bacon wage rates and Section 3 requirements. Section 3 Business Concerns as well as minority and women owned businesses are encouraged to apply. Federal Davis Bacon Wage Rates apply to this contract. Disadvantage Business Enterprises (DBE) and Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and Women Business Enterprises (WBE) are encouraged to respond. Contractors are required to provide a good faith effort in seeking DBE, MBE and WBE Subcontractors. This project is subject to Build America Buy America (BABAA) requirements.
