SD1 requires the services of a firm to act as the Owners Inspection and Testing Laboratory for the purpose of reviewing material and product reports as well as performing other services to ensure compliance with the contract documents including, but not limited to, Section 01453, Special Inspections and Procedures. A. Construction Inspector shall perform the following duties Review and interpret project design plans and specifications; report to project manager when additional clarification is required. Attend design review, pre-construction, and progress meetings. Inspect construction materials delivered to job sites and ensure compliance with approved shop drawings. The project generally consists of, but is not limited to providing all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, tools, and supervision necessary to complete the construction of the pumping facilities, sanitary sewer force main, gravity sewer main, water main extension which includes boring under railroad right-of-way, electrical equipment, site improvements, and all other appurtenant and miscellaneous work required to satisfy the design as shown on the Contract Documents prepared by Tetra Tech, Inc. The Work is located on Webster Rd. within the Owner's service area in the city of Independence, Kenton County, Kentucky. The Successful Bidder shall furnish a 100 percent (100%) Performance Bond and a 100 percent (100%) Payment Bond with a Surety company satisfactory to the OWNER using AIA document A312, EJCDC documents C-610 and C-615, or equivalent. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and to negotiate with the apparent lowest, responsive, responsible bidder to such extent as may be in the OWNER'S best interest.
