Site work, remodeling and renovation of a mixed-use development in Raleigh, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the remodel of a municipal facility; for the renovation of a municipal facility; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
construction of: Commercial and Education Buildings Roof Replacement located at 4285 Trinity Road, Raleigh, North Carolina (NC State Fairgrounds). The project includes removing the existing metal roof system and installing a new roof deck and low-slope single-ply roof system. Additional work includes structural modifications and replacement of the historic clay tile roof system. Bid Alternate 01 is for the preferred alternate of utilizing Ludowici clay roof tile. Bid Alternate 02 includes façade repairs and coating. Bid Alternate 03 includes underground stormwater drainage at the Education Building. Bid Alternate 04 includes window glazing repairs. Bids will be received for a Single Prime Contract. All proposals shall be lump sum. A performance bond and a payment bond will be required for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Payment will be made based on ninety-five percent (95%) of monthly estimates and final payment made upon completion and acceptance of work. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of 30 days. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a cash deposit or a certified check drawn on some bank or trust company, insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, of an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal, or in lieu thereof a bidder may offer a bid bond of five percent (5%) of the bid executed by a surety company licensed under the laws of North Carolina to execute the contract in accordance with the bid bond. Said deposit shall be retained by the owner as liquidated damages in event of failure of the successful bidder to execute the contract within ten days after the award or to give satisfactory surety as required by law. Complete plans, specifications and contract documents will be open for inspection in the offices of Atlas Engineering, Inc. at 551A Pylon Drive, Raleigh, NC. Participants will also be able to visit the building site and roof following the administrative portion of the meeting. Interested subcontractors and manufacturer representatives are strongly encouraged to attend.
