Renovation of an educational facility in Blacksburg, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 308-square-foot educational facility.
The project is generally described as: Interior renovations to the Elevator #3 Machine Room & Shaft for current code compliance. The existing elevator system is being modernized under a separate contract with Virginia Tech. This project includes selective demolition, cooling system, electrical system renovations, gypsum board ceiling assembly, firestopping, painting and other finishes. The total project area is approximately 308 GSF. A Bid Bond is required. The Deadline for Request for Information (RFI) shall be 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. All questions must be emailed to the Contracting Officer, Deirdre Curry at currydr11@vt.edu. The Owner reserves the right to cancel the IFB, to reject any and all bids at its sole discretion when such rejection is in the interest of the Owner, or to reject the bid of any bidder who is determined to be not responsive or not responsible.
