License Requirements Class A and/or C-10 Bid Valid 30 Days after Bid Opening Liquidated Damages $1,000 per day Project Duration 130 Working Days The work to be performed consists, in general, of installing two complete Traffic Signal and Lighting Systems at the intersections of Mt Ridge Drive and Berkshire Road and at Mt Ridge Drive and McCutchen Road. The project also consists of removing existing street lights, traffic pavement striping and marking modifications, removal of existing roadside signs and installation of new roadside signs. Due to the significant lead time for ordering and delivery of some of the equipment needed for the project, the project's work period will be considered as divided into two stages. The first stage shall consist primarily of the Contractor's preparation of submittals, the Engineer's review and approval of those submittals, the Contractor's ordering of equipment and materials to the project site. During this first stage, the Contractor shall not perform any field work without first obtaining the Engineer's approval for that specific work to be done during the first stage. The second stage shall consist primarily of the Contractor's active field work at the project site. The second stage shall not begin until the Contractor provides documentation to the Engineer that the equipment and materials will be delivered per a schedule that supports the Contractor's performance of the field work on a continuous basis so there will be no periods of inactivity due to lack of delivery of equipment and/or materials. Contract working days will commence from the date the Contractor begins work or the 15th calendar day from the date of the written notice to proceed, whichever comes first. The Contractor shall diligently prosecute the work to completion before the expiration of 130 working days.
