Renovation of a municipal facility in Columbia, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

1. General a. The Contractor shall supply all material, labor, supplies, supervision, and equipment to accomplish the following Statement of Work. b. Provide the construction repair services for items listed herein on the Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center in Columbia, North Carolina - Tyrrell County. c. All materials, products and components used to complete this project shall be made in the USA with documentation. The Buy American act will be strictly enforced. d. Contractor shall provide trash and restroom facilities onsite. Refuge dumpster and restroom facilities will not be provided. 2. Construction Program a. Replace all emergency exit lighting with new clear, green edge lit LED fixtures. b. Replace complete Administrative building interior lighting with LED fixtures to match existing. c. Replace complete Visitor Center building interior lighting with new LED fixtures to match existing. d. Update office wall switches to occupancy sensor control. e. Replace all exterior facility soffit/eave down lighting, covered walkway and porch lighting with LED fixtures to match existing design or approved similar. f. Paint complete facility interior. (2) Coats paint, colors and sheen to match existing. Repair all drywall cracks, buckles, bumps, tape delamination and any other damaged, blemished areas. Furniture moving/adjustments for painting access shall be the responsibility of the contractor with guidance from FWS personnel. g. Replace complete facility carpeting to match existing and/or provide options for more durable carpet solutions. h. Replace bathroom toilets, sinks and faucets throughout complete facility. Toilets/Urinals shall be low flush and faucets to match existing finish with 6" min. reach. Pressure test plumbing for adequate pressure and include full cleanout of drain line. i. Water treatment (including filtration and softening) on complete facility - Kinetico Advanced Water Systems 4 Tanks Series or approved equal. j. Replace and upgrade water fountains to hydration centers on both buildings. k. Service and balance HVAC units. Provide and install Trane EnvroWise 70H Dehumidifier, or approved equal, into existing HVAC system on river side of Administrative building at minimal. Assess humidity in all other zones to determine if dehumidification is needed in other locations on both buildings. l. Restore all affected areas of site from construction efforts and traffic to existing conditions or better.
