Renovation of a municipal facility in Vancouver, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
1. Demolition and removal of existing expansion tanks within HVAC piping systems, with modifications to piping, valves and fixtures related to the replacement of tanks. 2. Removal of demolition materials through building: At the parking garage level P207 boiler room, tank to be sectioned for removal through doorway. At the roof level Mechanical Penthouse, tanks are to be lowered through existing floor hatch to Level 18 and removed via freight elevator. 3. Patching and preparation of existing concrete housekeeping pads ready to receive new finishes. 4. Construction of new housekeeping pads and installation of seismic restraints. 5. Modification and demolition of existing acoustic ceiling, and installation of new acoustic ceiling in areas indicated, to suit new suspended ceiling features and new partition walls. 6. Mechanical and plumbing work as specified and indicated on Drawings. Required demolition and construction at serviced equipment and their control points are located within the project renovation area and elsewhere within the building where the public or tenants may normally occupy. Refer to drawings for coordination with building manager and tenants, user groups as required. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.bgis.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform. Question Deadline 08/15/2025 at 2:00 PM PT This section of the Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: .1 Demolition, removal completely from site, and disposal of all identified components, materials, equipment and debris .2 Selective demolition to allow new walls, bulkheads, ceilings and other materials to meet existing construction as indicated .3 All material from demolition shall be removed from site immediately with no salvage, selling, sorting or burning permitted on site .4 Retain items indicated on drawings for re use in new construction Award is subject to final approval
