Description

Site work for a transportation facility in Smithers, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.

The objective of this project is to install fencing around the Fort St. James Airport preventing wildlife such as deer, moose and bear from entering the airport s airside. The fencing will also serve as a boundary preventing unauthorized persons from entering the airport grounds. This project involves site preparation to include removal of existing fencing, grubbing, clearing, and mulching of any vegetation along the existing fencing line. Once prepared, chain link exclusion and security fencing shall then be installed around the airport terminal and entry areas. This fencing shall be approximately 888 metres in length and 1.82 metres (6 feet) high, topped with barb wire. There shall also be five (5) roll opening gates with barbed wire. The remainder of the airport perimeter shall be enclosed with a 2.4 metre (8 feet) high game fence, covering approximately 4,100 metres. This project also involves removal and hauling of vegetation, debris, and any materials used for preparation of the site and installation of the fencing. The contractor must provide all necessary labor, equipment, and materials to complete the work.
