Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Toronto, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 5,382-square-foot day care center; for the addition of a 10,764-square-foot, three-story above grade educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
Construction will be phased to allow building/site to be occupied during full duration of construction. Phase 1 - Construction of new Gym & Stage, Entrance Lobby and 3-Storey circulation connection to existing school. Phase 2 - Renovation of existing Gym into a 2-storey childcare. - Interior renovations in existing school. - Site development including new parking, playgrounds, sidewalks, loading area, garbage enclosure and various other landscape features. - Various new/upgraded site service connections. Complex phasing requirements of work on an occupied school site over project duration including: temporary egress stair, maintain early warning, evacuation and firefighting capacity at all times during construction, minimize interruption of parking, parent pick-up-and-drop-off, security, heating, cooling, power, communication services during construction. Estimated 1,000 m2 (Gym addition), 500 m2 (Childcare renovation). As of February 19, 2026, the Stage II ITB timeline to the prequalified has yet to be issued.
