For the Construction of the Central Coast Water Authority (Ccwa) Piping Replacement Shutdown Project, Ccwa is Publishing This Rfb Seeking Competitive Bids From Qualified and Appropriately Licensed General Building or Mechanical Contractors. The Project Consists of Replacing Piping at Two Locations Within the Authority, One in Shandon and the Other in Arroyo Grande. Central Coast Water Authority (CCWA) is requesting bids to replace several sections of piping associated with the Utility Water Header: 1. Remove and replace, like-in-kind, piping associated with the Utility Water Piping to the right side of the previously replaced header, nominally sized eight inches. 2. Remove and replace, like-in-kind, piping associated with the Utility Water Header Piping to the right side of the previously replaced header, nominally sized four inches. 3. Remove and replace, like-in-kind, piping associated with the Utility Water Piping, one single pipe, nominally sized one inch. 4. Remove and replace, like-in-kind, piping associated with the Utility Water Piping to the left side of the previously replaced header, nominally sized eight inches. 5. Remove and replace, like-in-kind, piping associated with the Utility Water Header Piping to the left side of the previously replaced header, nominally sized four inches. 6. Line the interior of all newly supplied piping with a powder coat lining, NSF-61 approved. 7. Powder coat or epoxy coat the exterior of all new piping. Match the color of new exterior coatings to the existing pipe color (blue). 8. Fully install the new piping in place at the PPWTP. 9. Provide all misc. materials, personnel, machinery, and other appurtenances necessary to return the system back to full operation. 10. Submit fabrication drawings to CCWA prior to production. CCWA will review drawings and return comments within 10 calendar days. 11. Supply equipment and materials to allow pressure testing of the pipe per AWWA standards, allow CCWA to witness pressure testing and document testing in writing to CCWA. 12. Contractor to dissemble existing piping and haul away for disposal all old piping after new piping has been installed and tested. Contractor shall not dispose of old piping prior to the start-up of the new system. 13. Contractor to re-use all existing valves, gages, meters, and pump connections. 14. Contractor to replicate all existing taps. 15. The maximum timeline for removal of the existing and installation of new piping shall be three sequential working days, scheduled Monday through Friday. Contractor may work up to 12-hours per day. Prevailing wages and overtime, if applicable, shall be included in the bid price. 16. CCWA requires the work to take place during a planned shutdown period of October 26, 2025, through November 10, 2025. The awarded contractor and CCWA shall agree on utility header replacement project work dates within this date range after award of project. Please email tay@ccwa.com if more information is required.
