The Scope of Work includes interior inspection and cleaning of the exterior and interior surface of the 500,000-gallon St. Albans Elevated Water Storage Tank and Booster Tank. The St. Albans Elevated Storage Tank is a multi-legged elevated tank with a high water level of 927 feet and a base of 842 feet. The St. Albans Booster Tank is a 7 foot diameter hydropneumatic. Contractor shall remove all mildew, mold, debris, and other deleterious substances from the exterior surface of the steel bowl and removal of all waste products from the site. Contractor shall wash out interior of both tanks. The interior of the tanks shall be drained and washed down. A state approved inspection shall be completed over the entirety of the tanks and site. Contractor will be responsible for disinfection. Work shall include any other incidental items and work described in the Project Manual, or reasonably inferable therefrom. Bidders are encouraged to visit the site prior to submitting a bid. A bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount must accompany each bid, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The St. Albans Water & Sewer Authority anticipates issuing notice to proceed in September 2025. The owner intends to award the contract to the most responsive, responsible bidder submitting the lowest bid. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any irregularities in the best interest of the owner.
