Project DPW-2555 for which proposals are being sought includes providing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and construction methods for replacement of the roof at Well 10, replacement of the roofs and masonry repairs at Well 7 and Countryside Pump Station, and insulation and roof work at Fire Station 84, all located in the Village of Palatine. All questions shall be submitted in writing to Scott Goehring(847.312.8648, sgoehring@garlandind.com), here after known as the "engineer" or "general contractor," according to bid sheets. No questions will be accepted verbally. The scope of the improvements involves, but is not limited to (See drawings for roofing specific scope of work): 1. Roofing system by an approved government cooperative with manufacturer's representative field observation services, quality control, and daily reports. 2. Removal of the existing roof me mbrane per specifications 3. Installation of a new 30-year torch-applied modified system as outlined in the attached specifications. 4. Protection of all existing low voltage and utility systems to remain. 5. Removal and Re-installation of equipment as required, at low clearances, to remove/replace roof. 6. Replacement of any deteriorated or corroded corrugated steel decking with like kind (allowance will be used for this unknown condition/quantity). 7. Providing assurance that all roof openings (.ie exhaust fans, fresh air intakes, ventilators, etc. are temporarily taken out of service and sealed to prevent any fumes from entering the building below. Adequate sealing procedures should include taping with duct tape and visqueen before any demo or application of mastic. Village of Palatine must approve all schedules. 8. Protection of adjacent non-work related areas during replacement 9. All scope as indicated in the drawings. 10. This Project and the scope of work therein is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act and the Contractor shall comply fully with same. The Village of Palatine reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any informalities in the proposals, and to accept any proposal which the Village Council deems most favorable to the interests of the Village
