A payment bond in an amount equal to 50% of the total amount of the bid with a surety company qualified to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts will be required forthe payment under the contract for labor and materials.A bid deposit in an amount equal to 5% of the total amount of the bid will be due with the bid, in the form of a certified check, bid bond or cashiers check. The bidder agrees that its bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded, after the opening of the bids. The "Work" consists of roof rehab of a section of LELWD's building located at 39 Ayer Road, Littleton, MA 01460. Work must begin within (30) thirty calendar days after award of project. The details of the Work are indicated in Section D, SCOPE OF WORK STATEMENT. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, services, materials, tools, supplies, and all other things necessary to do all work required for the completion of each item of the Work and as herein specified. The Work to be done and paid for under any item shall not be limited to the exact extent mentioned or described but shall include all incidental work necessary or customarily done for the completion of that item.
