Renovation of a municipal facility in Sudbury, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Replace roof drain transite piping at drain hopper connection and remove a short section of transite piping and replace with cast iron pipe connecting to a straight section of transite pipe again. A sufficient length of transite pipe to be retained to ensure a simple water tight connection can be achieved without demolishing wall or column finishes to access transite piping. Operations has encountered multiple leaks in piping elbows throughout the year. Project to replace all accessible transite piping. Connections to roof drain hoppers. Environmental consultant will be required for transite pipe removal. TIMELINE: An RFP for consultants has been issued by the Owner's Agent. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.bgis.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
