Britania Phase 3 Roof Replacement The work of this Section includes the provision of all labour, materials, equipment and services required to remove the designated, existing roof systems, and install a new, 2 ply, modified bitumen membrane, waterproofing system. New roof system shall be installed as indicated on the drawings, specified herein and as required for a complete project. .1 Installation of new two ply, modified bitumen roof assembly. This work shall include: .1 Torch applied vapour barrier membrane. 2 75 mm (base) polyisocyanurate insulation, adhered. 3 1% Sloped polyisocyanurate insulation, where indicated, adhered. .4 6 mm cover/protection board, adhered. .5 Torch applied, modified bitumen base sheet membrane and flashings. .6 Torch applied, modified bitumen cap sheet membrane and flashings. The existing two ply modified bitumen roof assemblies in roof areas 17 and 29 were installed on the previous (inverted), multi-ply, built up roof membrane (BUR). Removal of the existing roof assembly will include the removal of the existing, multi-ply BUR membrane along with the remaining roof assembly. The existing roof assemblies includes: 1 Multi- Ply built up roof (BUR) membrane atop the concrete roof deck. 2 1 ply modified bitumen vapour barrier. 3 75-150 mm rigid base and sloped (fiberboard), insulation. .4 6 mm Cover/protection board. 5 Two ply modified bitumen roof membrane.
