The Scope of Work consists of a variable depth removal of the existing asphalt surface in order to correct the crown in the roadway, followed by replacement with a new 2 asphalt overlay for approximately 1.01 miles of roadway and the addition of concrete paver crosswalks. Replacement of underlying concrete slabs may be necessary in isolated locations as conditions require. Existing curb ramps will be replaced in order to bring them into ADA compliance and select signal detector loops will require replacement. Striping, traffic control, and other items shall be included as shown in the specifications All bidders must be on MoDOTs Qualified Contractor List per Section 102.2 of the Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, 2024 Edition including all revisions. The contractor questionnaire must be on file 7 days prior to bid opening. A bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount must accompany each bid in accordance with the Bidders Checklist. The City of Clayton reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and the waive any irregularities in the best interest of the City.
