Renovation of a museum in Clayton, Missouri. Working plans call for the renovation of a 3,200-square-foot, two-story above grade museum.

This project involves the restoration and preservation of the exterior masonry of the historic Hanley House, located in Clayton, Missouri, including its adjacent kitchen house. The Hanley House is a two-story brick residence built circa 1876 with significant historical value. The scope includes professional tuckpointing, selective brick replacement, and application of a breathable waterproof sealant across approximately 3,200 square feet of exterior wall surface on the main house, as well as all exposed masonry on the kitchen house. The goal is to maintain the structural integrity and historical character of the buildings while protecting them from further weather-related deterioration. Not less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages shall be paid to all workmen performing under this contract according to the rates determined by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations of the State of Missouri. A bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount must accompany each bid in accordance with the instructions to bidders. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and waive any irregularities in the best interest of the City.
