Project consists of removal of existing roofing and installation of a new standing seam metal roof, metal truss system, fascia, and gutters/downspouts. Qualified bidders may submit bids for project as described in this Document. Submit bids according to the Instructions to Bidders. 1. Regulatory Requirements of the State of Illinois shall govern submittal, opening, and award of bids. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. Execution of a Project Labor Agreement is required by a successful contractor. Letter of Assent will be required by all contractors and subcontracts on site. The successful bidder, and all his subcontractors, shall be required to pay not less than the prevailing rates of wages as determined in accordance with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Law to all laborers, craftsmen, journeymen, and other workers employed in the work necessitated by the fulfillment of this contract. The City of Wood River is a governmental entity exempt from the payment of applicable Retailer's Occupation Tax. Successful Contractor will be provided with Tax Exempt certificate upon contracting.
