The Project site is located in the town of Stinson Beach, Marin County, California. DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK: The Project generally involves the following primary work elements (the Work ): The Work includes all materials, equipment, and labor necessary to install approximately 50 feet of 8-inch schedule 80 welded steel pipe and an additional 15 feet of new 8-inch flex joints, ductile iron fittings, and reducers. The Work also involves removing and disposing of the 55 feet of existing pipe. The Work includes site mobilization/demobilization, connecting the pipe to existing lines, pipe disinfection, and related trench work (concrete removal, excavation, backfill, and rock disposal) LABOR COMPLIANCE: This project is subject to the requirements of Section 1720 et seq. of the California Labor Code requiring the payment of prevailing wages, the training of apprentices and compliance with other applicable requirements. Contractors and all subcontractors who perform work on the project are required to comply with applicable prevailing wage requirements. Bidders must direct all questions about the meaning or intent of Bidding Documents to the District (Attention: Kent Nelson, General Manager) in writing (email, letter, or facsimile).
