* This project has been awarded to: Milton Caplan President, MZConsulting Inc 702-333 Adelaide St E Toronto, Ontario M5A 4T4 Canada RFB for an independent government oversight advisor to the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MEM) to continue the oversight of planning, preparation, and construction activities that Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is undertaking between 2025 and 2030 to deploy four small modular reactors (SMR) at the Darlington nuclear site by the end of the decade. MEM is seeking to procure an independent government oversight advisor to provide oversight during the Execution Phase of the Darlington New Nuclear Project (DNNP) between 2025 and 2030, including the construction of the first SMR at the Darlington nuclear site. The advisor would also provide oversight of other planning, preparation and construction activities that OPG would undertake between 2025-2030 to deploy three additional SMRs at the site as part of the DNNP. The advisor will monitor OPG’s project activities during the Execution Phase and report back to MEM on their findings on a regular basis.
