This project generally consists of construction of a road connection of Taft Street to Meadow Terrace, related infrastructure improvements, and related activities. DESCRIPTION OF WORK CTE Corporation Road Connection of Taft Street to Meadow Terrace Infrastructure Improvements The work includes all site related depicted on plan sheets C-1 through CD-8 of plans prepared by Krebs and Lansing Consulting Engineers, titled, Center for Technology Essex, Taft Street & Meadow Terrace, Essex Junction, Vermont The following items are included, but may not be limited to, the activities necessary to complete the referenced work: A. Roads, Sidewalks and Curbs a. Establish and maintain erosion control measures and stabilized construction entrance before earthwork commences. b. Establish and maintain horizontal and vertical survey control staking and site layout. Engineer to provide AutoCAD file and initial control point coordinates. c. Attend a preconstruction meeting with the Owner, Engineer and Representatives of the City of Essex Junction to coordinate work schedules, permits, signage and inspection requirements with the City of Essex Junction Public Works Department. d. Strip topsoil and stockpile on site. Establish and maintain erosion control in conformance with the General Permit for Sediment and Erosion Control on a Low Risk Site. e. Perform earthwork cuts and fills to balance site to subgrade. Excess excavation disposal placed on site at a location directed by the Owner. Asphalt removed from the cul-de-sac area will be disposed of offsite. Gravel excavated from the cul-de-sac will be used for temporary haul roads and site stabilization.
