Project work consists of overlay and striping the right lane of I-70 from MM 213.5 to MM 215.7 in the Eisenhower-Johnson Memorial Tunnel. This work consists of the removal and replacement of loop detector wires, or loops for the Automatic Traffic Recorder (ATR), where the loops have been removed within a project site. Work shall be in accordance with this specification and as shown on the plans. QA: CDOT Maintenance have made themselves available to manage traffic control operations for this project. They will be able to set up the full bore closures and direct traffic in alternating queues through the opposite bore each night of work. The bid items related to traffic control on the bid quantities are included in order to provide contingency in the event that M&O has a situation or irregular operation scenario come up that would prevent them from performing the traffic control on a particular night The striping quantities detailed in the SAQ table and on the bid proposal schedule will be for permanent striping only. Temporary striping will not be necessary or required of the contractor on this project
