It shall be the responsibility of the CONTRACTOR, prior to the initiation of construction on easements through private property, to inform the property owner of this intent to begin construction. Before beginning construction in areas of public dedication, the CONTRACTOR shall inform the agency having jurisdiction in the area forty-eight (48) hours prior to initiation of the work. If a building permit is needed, it is provided at no cost; the contractor must register with the City and is responsible for all associated fees The successful bidder must furnish a performance bond, on the form provided, in the amount of one hundred fifteen percent (115) of the contract price. Successful bidder must also provide a material and labor payment bond, on the form provided, in the amount of one hundred percent (100) of the contract price. Bonds must be from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety, or other sureties acceptable to the Owner.
