The Boulder City Flood Control Channel System is maintained by the Public Works Department. Two Divisions are responsible for the maintenance of hardscapes and vegetation that provide erosion control, undisrupted flow of water, functional turf, preservation and replacement of hard surfaces, etc. The system is divided in four watersheds, West Airport, Georgia-Buchana, Hemenway, and North Railroad. Each watershed is comprised of a network of concrete, grass channels and detention basins.
