The purpose of this contract is to provide road repairs to various locations on 3N17.4 Santa Clara Divide Rd on the Angeles National Forest. The existing 3N17.4 Santa Clara Divide Rd will be pulverized, compacted and repaved to maintain current drainage features and flows. Sites #1-#4 will require contractor to pulverize the existing damaged pavements areas that have minor road failures, install new drainage features, repaving and erosion control blankets for stabilization. Site #5 will require the same work but will have the additional need to reconstruction the downslope embankment with material from onsite. Santa Clara Divide Rd will be pulverized and 3" of Caltrans HMA will be paved over the new road base. The road drainages features should collect flow in a single point and discharge at the toe of the slope into the required Rip-Rap to limit future road failures. Contractor may submit alternative Overside Drain Assembly drawings for consideration as long as it provides the equivalent or better drainage capacity. Note: Alternative options must be requested and approved prior to contract award. This contract provides for the equipment, materials, labor, and services necessary to perform work ordered by the Government for road pulverization, repaving and slope repairs of various locations on Santa Clara Divide Rd in compliance with the terms, specifications, drawings and provisions of this contract.
