The project is awarded to Empire Landscaping & Snow Services with an awarded amount of $189,452.50 Presque Isle District Pedestrian Improvements - West 6th Street - Phase 1. This project will be financed by a Local Share Account Grant by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Commonwealth Financing Authority and is subject to coverage under the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act and related acts. This project entails the installation of new concrete sidewalks and replacement of driveway aprons along both sides of West 6th Street from Colleen Drive to Pittsburgh Avenue. Newly installed sidewalks must meet all criteria of the Proposed Accessibility Guidelines for Pedestrian Facilities in Public Rights of Way, as most recently amended, the 2010 ADA Standard as amended and the Millcreek Township Code. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of a certified or cashier's check or bid bond with corporate surety payable to Millcreek Township in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid price. Bids may be held by the Township for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of opening bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the contract. Millcreek Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities or minor deviations in the bidding.
