The Hollis Social Library is seeking quotes from qualified contractors to manage and execute a combined interior painting and flooring replacement project for our entire public library building, located at 2 Monument Square, Hollis NH, 03049. The goal is to complete both projects within the same time frame to minimize disruption and avoid multiple relocations of furniture and shelving. This includes all public and staff areas such as offices, restrooms, meeting rooms, and high-traffic public spaces. The Library building is the property of the Town of Hollis. The Library Director and Board of Trustee will recommend a vendor to the Board of Selectman. The final decision of vendor rests with the Board of Selectmen. . Scope of Work o Surface preparation for painting (patching, sanding, priming as needed) o Painting of walls, ceilings, doors, and trim (2 coats unless otherwise specified) o Removal and proper disposal of existing flooring o Floor preparation as needed o Installation of new commercial grade carpet tiles suitable for a high traffic environment o Protection of furniture, flooring, and equipment during all work o Coordination of work phases to ensure efficient single movement of shelving and bookcases o Furniture moving and return as needed o Final cleanup and removal of all materials and debris Timeline Work is anticipated to begin between December 1, 2025 and December 8, 2025 and be completed by December 31, 2025. Exact start and end dates will be determined in coordination with the selected vendor to minimize disruption to Library operations. There is flexibility with the project timeline. Painting and flooring must be coordinated to allow shelving and furniture to be moved only once.
