Waste Treatment Plant Renovations A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the City ofLake Village, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value), orsatisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and an acceptablesurety in an amount equal to five (5%) of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid. The City hereby notifies all bidders that this contract is subjectto applicable labor laws, non-discrimination provisions, wage rate laws and other federal laws including the Fair Labor StandardsActs of 1938. The Work Hours Actof 1962 and Title VI of the CivilRights Act of 1964 also apply. Attention is called to the factthat not less than the minimumsalaries and wages as set forth in the contract documents must bepaid on the project, and that thecontractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminatedagainst because of their race,color, religion, sex or national origin. The City reserves the right toreject any or all bids or to waive any informality in bidding. Bidsmay be held by the City for a period not to exceed Sixty (60) days from the date of opening of bidsfor the purpose of reviewing thebids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the contract.
