The Project to be bid on is as follows: The project consists of a new bypass pump station and force main; and process mechanical, electrical, structural, and building mechanical improvements to the existing23rd Street Pump Station as shown on the drawings and in the project manual. The Project allotted time for construction is: 730 calendar days The Instructions to Bidders, Bid, Contract Agreement, Drawings, Specifications and forms of Bid Bond, Performance Bond, Payment Bond, and other Contract Documents The check should be made out to the City of Chattanooga and mailed to the City of Chattanooga Purchasing Department, 101 East 11th Street, Suite G13, Chattanooga, TN37402. The successful Bidder for this Contract will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of 100 percent of the Bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities and to re advertise. All bidders must be licensed and shall comply with all requirements of the State of Tennessee Contractor's Licensing Act. No bid may be withdrawn within 120 calendar days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, prepared on the form of Bid Bond attached to the Contract Documents or a Surety Company's Standard Bid Bond, duly executed by the Bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Tennessee and listed as a certified company in the latest issue of U.S. Treasury Circular 570, in the amount of five percent of the Bid.
