Stephen Anderson Cherokee County is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to remove 3 HVAC units in the Cherokee County Detention Center kitchen and replace them with 3 HVAC rooftop packages. Remove and replace 3 HVAC units in the Kitchen. Replace them with 3 HVAC rooftop packages Equipment o (3) 5-ton American Standard/Trane Heat pump package units or equivalent o Electric heaters for each RTU. o Manual fresh air dampers for each RTU o Downflow Roof Curbs for each RTU o Thermostats for each RTU o Burglar Bars installed in the ductwork Scope of Work: Demo: 1. Recover refrigerant from the existing three 5-ton split systems. 2. Disconnect the ductwork, high/low voltage electrical, and condensation lines from the three air handlers above the ceiling. 3. Remove the three air handlers. 4. All debris and Equipment will be hauled off-site Installation 1. Install three roof curbs to support the new Equipment. 2. Install curb supports 3. Install three 5-ton package heat pumps. 4. Transportation for and placement of cranes must be included in this scope of work. Crane equipment must be positioned in such a manner to prevent blocking the flow of normal traffic and center business operations. 5. Ductwork o Connect new ductwork to existing supply and return ducts. o All duct joints will be sealed with mastic o Burglar Bars will be installed in the supply and return of each RTU. 6. Electrical o New sub-panels will be installed at each RTU. o All conduits will be properly secured. o Per code, smoke detectors/strobe and horns will be installed for each RTU. o All electrical connections will follow all state/local codes o New thermostats will be installed for each system.
