All bonds shall be submitted by a surety company specifically approved in writing from the City holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as a surety, or other sureties acceptable to the City. Said bonds should be issued by a company carrying a current Best Rating of "A" or better. The name of the surety company shall be clearly written on the exterior of the sealed bid. The City may consider informal any bid submitted where the bonding company has not been specifically approved in writing.
