PROJECT DESCRIPTION A. The scope of this project is to replace four (4) Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) for AML complex located in Gaithersburg UPS system at Buildings 215, 216, 217 and 218 with an option to replace one Green power UPS at Building 219. o Building 215, room D02, UPS1-2-LL/69-1, Yellow Power UPS, 100 KVA o Building 216, room C320. UPS1-5-D/49-1, Yellow Power UPS, 100 KVA. o Building 217, Room C322. UPS1-5-S/13-1, Yellow Power UPS, 100 KVA o Building 218, Room B09. UPS1-2-T/43.4-1, Yellow Power UPS, 100 KVA o Option: Building 219, Room A21. UPS2-2-CC/26.3-1, Green Power UPS, 200 KVA B. The Contractor shall provide turnkey service for UPS replacement including field investigation, shop drawings, installation planning, ion documents, equipment specifications, new equipment provision, equipment removal, and installation of a fully functional and operational new equipment. C. The Contractor shall provide remote storage for new equipment until installation. D. Refer to attached AML arc flash study for protective settings of the new UPS system. E. The new UPS system shall have the same KVA rating as the existing UPS system. F. Provide equipment review submittals for approval prior to equipment release. G. Provide As-built Record Drawings using contractor red-lined drawings H. OF WORK: Four Yellow power UPS systems are located in Buildings 215, room D02 Building 216, room C320 Building 217, room C322, and B218, room B09. The Green power UPS system is in Building 219, room A21. I. PERIOD OF (based on calendar days): 550 days for base bid after issuance of notice to proceed (NTP). Additional days to be established if any of the optional UPD is included in the bid. a. POP is based on a minimum of two ion shop drawing submittals (e.g., 50 design and 95 final) and two government reviews. b. POP assumes a maximum of 60 days for Pre NTP activities (e.g., health and safety plan submittal and approval, start of badging process). c. POP assumes long lead times for procurement of UPS units.
