Goodnow Library Local History Room Renovation. Modifications and enhancements to millwork in the Local History Room in the Goodnow Library. The work includes selective dismantling and removal of existing wood shelving units and furnishing and installing new millwork cabinets and wall paneling in an area of the Local History Room. Questions Regarding This Invitation for Bids Must Be Received by the Combined Facility Director via Email at Facilities@sudbury.ma.us on or Before Wednesday, September 3, 2025. All Questions Regarding This Rfq Should Be Directed to the Office of the Combined Facilities Director at Facilities@sudbury.ma.us. the Scope of Work Set Forth in the Invitation for Bid is Expected to Commence Upon Signing a Contract Presented by the Town Based Upon the Qualifications of the Proposer and an Acceptable Fee Targeted for $50,000.00 or Less. The Purpose of This Invitation to Submit Bids is to Obtain Pricing for Modifications and Enhancements to Millwork in the Local History Room in the Goodnow Library. The Work Includes Selective Dismantling and Removal of Existing Wood Shelving Units and Furnishing and Installing New Millwork Cabinets and Wall Paneling in an Area of the Local History Room. The Existing Shelving Was Fabricated and Installed in a Building Renovation in Approximately 1998; and is Not Historical Shelving. It is Intended for New Millwork to Match the 1998 Shelving. The Wall Paneling is Intended to Match the Configuration of Older, Historical Paneling in the Opposite End of the Room, While the Finish Will Match the 1998 Shelving and the New Cabinets Under This Proposal. the New Millwork Cabinets Are to Partially Enclose Metal Flat Files and Lateral Files Which Are Owner Furnished and on-site Fore Reference. All Bids for This Project Are Subject to Applicable Public Bidding Laws of Massachusetts, Including, but Not Limited to G.l. C.149, 44a-44h, as Amended. Each Bid Must Be Accompanied by a Bid Security Consisting of a Bid Bond, Cash, or, Certified Check Issued by a Responsible Bank or Trust Company in the Amount of 5% of the Bid Price. the Bidder, to Whom the Award is Made, Shall Procure a Labor and Materials Payment Bond in the Amount of 50% of the Contract Price From a Surety Company Authorized to Do Business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Satisfactory to the Town as Required for the Payment of All Obligations Arising Therefrom.
