The Work consists of a single contract for the excavation of approximately 120 linear fee (four separate 30 linear foot locations) around an existing 48-inch PCCP pipe, installation of pipe bedding, backfill, and restoration. ECWA staff will perform the rehabilitation of each pipe (estimated at 8 hours) while the CONTRACTOR remains on-site. Project Description The Work consists of the excavation and shoring around four separate 48-inch pipe segments per the trench detail. The detail calls for a trench width of 3-feet on each side of the pipe, 1-foot below the pipe, and 5-feet at each end of the pipe. Once excavated, the contractor will remain on-site while ECWA staff complete the pipe rehabilitation (estimated at 8-hours per pipe segment). Following the pipe rehab, the contractor will bed the pipe, backfill, and restore each location. The work will be completed in two sequences of two pipe segments and sequence #1 and #2 will be scheduled approximately 2-weeks apart.
