Collection of Solid Waste from residential units in sixty-two (62) Contract Bid Areas in the Town of Islip Consolidated Refuse and Garbage District for the period January 1, 2027 through December 31, 2033, with the option for a three-year extension term. Each bid must be submitted on the official. serialized formats furnished by the Town. No bid will be accepted by email or facsimile. Each bid must be accompanied by a bond on theenclosed bid bond form in a sum equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid for 2027, payable to the "Town of Islip". The failure or refusal to execute the Contract and deliver the required Performance Bond and insurance certificates no less than twenty-one (21) days prior to commencement shall result in liquidated damages of forfeiture of the bid security and the Town of Islip may proceed against the bid bond or take such action as may be deemed in the Town's best interest. Every request for information or interpretation of the Contract must be addressed in writing to the Town of Islip, Department of Environmental Control, Room 302,401 Main Street, Islip, New York 11751 or emailed to DEC-Bid-Questions @IslipNY.gov, and to be given any consideration, must be received no later than October 23, 2025. There will not be a pre-bid meeting. All addenda resulting from inquiries will be issued by Friday, October 31, 2025. The Town Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids in whole or part, to waive any informality in any or all bids, and to accept the bid or part thereof which it deems most favorable to the Town.
