Renovation of a water / sewer project in Columbus, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Allows zero unit prices and labor Yes Allows negative unit prices and labor Yes Bond Percentage 10.00% Project Number: 570050-100000 The work for which includes removal of complete Lift Station including piping and mechanicals. Required items in new Lift Station but not limited to: * 2 submersible centrifugal grinder pumps. Cast iron construction with dual mechanical shaft seals and 1 1/4 inch vertical discharge. 2 hp, 3450 rpm, 460/3/60 submersible electric reverse motors with 35 ft. cords. Moisture and thermal sensors included. *1 Duplex Pump Control Panel with NEMA 4 steel enclosure. Panel needs to be complete with Individual pump circuit breakers, disconnect switch, control circuit transformer, Hand Off Auto selector switch, pump run light and high-water alarm with light, horn, silencing button and auxiliary contact. *1 - 48 inch by 6 ft. fiberglass basin with gel coat exterior. Multi section construction (to fit through 48-inch doorway) and an 8-inch cast iron inlet hub. Basin should come with guide rails, discharge piping, and isolation and check valves. Basin should have a square base with drilled holes for mounting to concrete floor. Basin will need a 48 Inch diameter hinged aluminum basin cover. Cover will need to be fitted with pump discharge openings, vent openings, bolted access plate and 10-inch inspection plate with 1 inch float pole coupling and cord grips for power and float switch cords. *All new piping to be installed from main junctions for inlet, outlet, and venting to new lift station. All new electrical to be installed from electrical buckets to new system, a per code and other such work as may be necessary to complete the contract, in accordance with the drawings, technical specifications, and City of Columbus Construction and Material Specifications as set forth in this Invitation for Bid (IFB). The City may cancel the IFB, reject any or all bids in whole or in part, waive technicalities, and/or advertise for new bids, without liability to the City and when in the best interest of the City. The City shall have 180 calendar days from the date of the bid opening to provide the bidder a Notice of Award. During this 180- day period, the bidder agrees to hold their bid prices. Questions pertaining to the drawings and specifications, IFB, and/or other contract documents must be submitted in writing only to the Project Manager, ATTN: Brad Bayliff via email [babayliff@columbus.gov] prior to July 30, 2025, at 2:00 PM local time. No phone calls will be accepted. Questions regarding the IFB (excluding the drawings and specifications) should be submitted to Jennifer Strother, City of Columbus, Office of Construction Management, via email [jrstrother@columbus.gov] . All work shall be substantially complete within 60 calendar days of the Notice to Proceed. The city reserves the right to reject a bid it deems non-responsive. Factors used to determine responsiveness are included in Columbus City Code Section 329, throughout the IFB, Special Provisions, and in the edition of the City of Columbus Ohio Construction and Material Specifications cited in this IFB as applicable to this bid, and, if necessary, in its supplemental specifications.
