Renovation of a water / sewer project in Andover, Massachusetts. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
This project would provide for critical concrete repairs to rehab the failed portions, prevent future deterioration and prolong the life of the existing basins. The existing tracks would be replaced or rehabilitated, and valves would be replaced in kind with a more appropriate NSF 61-complaint alternative. The flight drivers and chains would be replaced, as would all the mixing equipment (32 mixers in total). Finally, the effluent channel would be covered to prevent prolonged exposure to sunlight that, which is believed to contribute to algae growth in the channel and enter the filter basins. The project is included in the City's 22027-2031 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of Aug 6, 2026, further details have not yet been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
