Demolition, site work, new construction, renovation and addition to a swimming pool in Morristown, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the addition of a swimming pool; for the demolition of a swimming pool; for the construction of a swimming pool; for the renovation of a swimming pool; and for site work for a swimming pool.

Burnham Pool Guard Shack Improvements This project consists of partial demolition of existing building and construction of new addition along with renovation of building portion to remain. Project location is at the Burnham Park Pool Complex located off Scherzer Way, Morristown New Jersey. Work consists of, in part, the following: demolition and removal of portion of existing structure and associated concrete floors and foundations, new foundation and concrete work, new building construction, new windows and doors, renovations to existing building, new exterior cladding, new roof system, epoxy floor system, plumbing, electric, all associated carpentry and fit and finish work. Work on this project to occur after pool closing September 2, 2025 and to be completed, weather permitting by November 3, 2025. The Town of Morristown reserves the right to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder. The successful bidder will be required to execute the contract and file a bond within (10) ten days after award of the project and submit a Business Entity Disclosure Certification and any other necessary documentation. Bids must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of a certified check, bid bond, or cashier's check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount bid, (bid bond amount not to exceed $20,000.00), and made payable to the order of the Town of Morristown, together with a "Consent of Surety" from a surety company authorized to do business in New Jersey stating that it will provide the contractor with a bond in such amount as requested in the advertisement or specifications. The guarantee of the successful bidder will be returned upon execution of the contract. All guarantees of the unsuccessful bidders will be returned upon award of contract to the successful bidder. Bidders (and Bidder's subcontractors, if any) should submit a Business Registration Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of the Treasury, Division of Revenue, in accordance with the requirements of P.L. 2009, c. 315. Bidders must be registered pursuant to The Public Works Contractor Registration Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48, et seq., (the "PWCRA") at the time that the bid is made and must submit a copy of the certificate of registration with the bid form. All subcontractors listed in the bid must also be registered pursuant to the PWCRA at the time the bid is submitted. After the bid is made and prior to the awarding of the contract, the successful bidder must submit to the Town copies of the certificates of registration for all subcontractors listed in the bid. Bidding information contained in this Bid should be clear and not subject to qualifications, deletions, erasures, or other markings that create any doubt as to its meaning. Bidders should make sure that the Bid Form is signed by a duly authorized person on behalf of the bidder and that the bid is responsive. Bidders can determine the responsiveness of their bid by reading "General Instructions for Bidders" and the "Bid Document Submission Checklist". The right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in any bid is reserved if such an action is not detrimental to the interest of the Town of Morristown. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c. 127, which pertains to "non-discrimination" and "affirmative action" and P.L. 1977, c. 33, which refers to the statement of corporation ownership. Attention is called to the fact that the contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color, sex, or national origin and to the greatest extent possible, opportunity for training and employment shall be given to lower-income residents of the project area and that, when possible, contracts shall be awarded to business concerns owned by area residents. ** bid date info : Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the Town Engineer, Town of Morristown, marked on the outside "Burnham Pool Guard Shack Improvements" and delivered on or before the hour set forth
