A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The New Jersey Turnpike Authority (Authority) is requesting proposals to restore our Weigh-InMotion (WIM) and Static Scale functionality to our Herbertsville Commercial Vehicle Inspection (CVI) Station. This request shall include the following items: Installation of a Mettler Toledo WIM system on the access road in front of the Herbertsville CVI station. This access runs parallel to the Garden State Parkway and the in-road components of the older system (installed around 2015) were milled out during a recent re-paving project de-activating that system. The off-road infrastructure (cabinets, electrical, and conduit path) remains intact and shall be considered for use with the new system. Re-installation of the Static Scale system at the same facility in the north side parking lot. This existing scale was installed around 2010 and is currently operational but has several deficiencies. This Static Scale shall be fully compatible with the WIM scale system. Line-item proposals for a five-year maintenance contract to include part replacement and service, recommended calibration, and preventive maintenance of the WIM and Static scale systems at Herbertsville. The Maintenance contract shall be invoiced in yearly increments and shall begin after system acceptance of the new scale systems.
