Contract Type: Fixed Price Contract Contract Duration: One Time Bidders shall have a minimum of five (5) years of experience with the installation, calibration, and start-up of flow devices as described in this RFP. The WRTP is located at 8550 Bayside Rd. Chesapeake Beach MD, 20732. This is a 1.5 MGD water reclamation treatment plant, with a one-day surge tank, designated as the Shellfish Protection Tank (SPT). The SPT has a 14" ductile iron pipe ("DIP") pressure line from the headworks of the WRTP for filling the tank (influent), and a 10" DIP gravity line utilized for draining back to the headworks from the SPT (effluent). The existing influent flowmeter does not operate properly and its installation location is not ideal. The Town intends for the flow devices to be installed on the piping located at the headworks. There is currently a ~20' straight run of 14" DIP for the SPT influent flow device and a ~7' straight run of 10" DIP pipe for the SPT effluent flow device. The Contractor will provide the flow devices and totalizers, installation, and testing/start-up of the flow devices. All prospective bidders are encouraged to inspect the facility to ascertain the appropriate equipment and supplies needed to perform the work outlined in this scope of work. Bidders should note the terms of the template Agreement published herewith. The Bidder will be expected to sign an Agreement in substantially the form of the template and, while the Town may elect to negotiate terms that do not materially change the procurement, Bidders should not have an expectation that the terms will be negotiated after an award. Any concerns about the form of the Agreement should be addressed prior to bid submission.
