Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Traverse City, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; transportation facility; transportation facility; and water / sewer project.

As of October 13, 2025, the project was awarded to Elmer's Crane and Dozer, Inc., with an awarded amount of $2,572,575.50. The project consists of furnishing all material and constructing the following: Construction of the Cherry Capital Airport Economy Parking Lot, including site removals, utilities, stormwater detention, earthwork, aggregate base construction, hot mix asphalt paving, lighting, signage, and pavement marking. Project work includes all necessary appurtenances and restoration. Prime contractor must be MDOT Prequalified under the designated item classifications "Ea", "Cb", or "L". If the prime contractor is not prequalified in the designated item classification(s), then it must use a subcontractor that is prequalified in such classification(s). Contract documents may be examined online or at the offices of: Northwest Regional Airport Authority, 727 Fly Don't Drive, Traverse City, MI 49686 Prein&Newhof, 100 E. Chapin Street, Suite A, Cadillac, MI 49601 Prein&Newhof, 3355 Evergreen Drive NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525 And some local plan rooms. Hard copy drawings and specifications are available for the fee of $215 dollars. Prein&Newhof Plan Room members who want to purchase the hard copy of the drawings only, may do so for $75 dollars. A $15 dollar charge will be added to all mailed drawings and/or specifications. Fees are payable by cash or check only and are not refunded. A bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check payable to Northwest Regional Airport Authority in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total price must accompany each bid. This surety must bind the bidder for a period of sixty (60) days after the receipt of bids. Northwest Regional Airport Authority encourages and solicits participation of qualified minority and women businesses consistent with the principle of utilizing the most highly qualified and competitive firms. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in bidding. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids for at least ninety (90) days thereafter. The project pavements must be substantially completed by November 15, 2025. Lighting and final completion must be complete by May 22, 2026. Award of the project is anticipated to occur on or about August 26, 2025. Question Deadline 08/08/2025 at 5:00 PM ET Questions to be addressed in the addendum will be received through 5:00 p.m. four (4) calendar days prior to the bid.Only written addenda issued by the Engineer must be binding.
