Proposals from qualified companies to provide Graffiti Removal Services. The specific scope of work is detailed in Section 4. The award resulting from this RFP will be a fixed 3-year contract with two (2) optional 1-year extensions. The initial term is projected to begin October 2025. There is no expressed or implied obligation for the City to reimburse responding organizations for any expenses incurred in preparing proposals in response to this request. Background Redondo Beach is a full-service city that funds and provides proprietary police, fire, and public works departments, two public libraries, a performing arts center, fifteen parks, thirteen parkettes, a large recreational and commercial harbor including King Harbor, a 1,500-slip private craft port, the Redondo Beach Pier and Seaside Lagoon, and a bathing and surfing beach covering approximately 6.2 square miles of land. The City receives approximately 2,000 reports of graffiti on public property per fiscal year (July - June). This averages to approximately 167 reports per month, with higher-than-average reports in the late summer months, and below average in the winter months. Public property includes, but may not be limited to, walls, City structures, sidewalks and curbs, street and traffic signs, streetlights and poles, bus stops and benches, park benches and tables, and utility boxes.
