Reference Number 0000298594 Question Deadline 08/06/2025 at 11:59 PM ET Pricing Lump sum The University of Windsor is inviting proposals from qualified vendors to provide mechanical services. The scope of services to be provided by the Successful Proponent will include: General Conditions In all circumstances, the work to be performed by the vendor using their own qualified employees shall be of first-class quality by employees skilled in the respective trade and knowledgeable about the product and equipment being used. The Vendor shall provide a project manager/key representative during the duration of the project to ensure communication with the University of Windsor, as necessary. The Vendor shall conduct work in a manner that causes minimum obstruction and inconvenience to the University of Windsor operations. Regular business hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. The majority of project work (that which causes disruption) shall be initiated and completed during non-business hours. If any work is scheduled during regular business hours through the Facility Services Operations, the Vendor shall provide barricades, signs, or other safety equipment for work areas as necessary as to avoid any unnecessary disruption and/or accidents. Existing surfaces and/or other items near areas where the work is occurring shall be protected from damage that could result from Vendor operations. The Vendor shall use sufficient protective coverings to protect furnishings and adjacent surfaces. The Vendor shall be responsible for repairing, at Vendor's expense, any damage to existing improvements and/or items that result from the Vendor providing inadequate protection from damage. The Vendor shall perform work and clean-up in accordance with all federal, provincial, and local regulations. The Vendor shall not subcontract any of the work to any other company without the written approval of the Facility Services Operations Director or designate. The Vendor shall be responsible for reviewing the Hazardous Material Inventory System (HMIS) https://www.hmis-online.com/login.php prior to starting any work. The base bid is to include the supply of approved materials needed to complete the various tasks. The University must approve the selection of material used in scope of work. Materials must be "Green" and designed to have a minimal impact on the environment. This can include materials made from recycled materials, products designed to be reused or recycled, and products made from renewable resources). The University of Windsor also reserves the right to seek clarifications, to negotiate with any Vendor submitting a response, to reject any or all responses with or without cause, and to modify the procurement process and schedule. In the event that this RFQ is withdrawn, or the project cancelled for any reason, the University of Windsor shall have no liability to any respondent for any costs or expenses incurred in connection with this RFQ or otherwise.
