The Bayfield County Forestry and Parks Department is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced firms to provide conceptual park planning and design services for multiple park and recreation areas throughout Bayfield County, Wisconsin. This work will support the County's ongoing effort to make capital investments in County recreation/park areas. The primary mission of the Bayfield County Forestry and Parks Department is to sustainably manage, conserve, and protect the natural and recreational resources on Bayfield County-owned lands. These projects are a component of the County's LCORP and Comprehensive Land Use Plan. The 2019-2024 LCORP and 2021-2035 Comprehensive Land Use Plans are available on the Bayfield County website. These documents provide a foundation for understanding the County's natural and recreational assets, needs, and strategic goals. The conceptual park plans and design developed under this RFP will: _ Serve as guiding documents for future capital improvements and grant applications. _ Provide visual and narrative concepts to inform County decision-makers and the public. _ Reflect the unique character, environment, and recreational demands of each location. _ Incorporate principles of universal accessibility, environmental stewardship, and cultural sensitivity, particularly regarding the County's unique natural and tribal heritage.
