Capital Improvement Project- ADA Capital Improvement Project may include restroom improvements, signage upgrades, miscellaneous entrance and accessible route improvements. The Owner reserves the right to incorporate additional planning and design services associated with capital improvements to various District facilities, as Work is identified and funding is made available. The Owner's anticipates design services to begin immediately with the goal of beginning ADA Improvements design in August 2025. Estimated Protect budget- $250,000- $350,000. The Owner invites firms interested in providing the required services to submit their qualifications for consideration. Qualifications will be reviewed, evaluated, and ranked to determine the project team best qualified to provide the needed services for the Owner. The Owner shall award a contract to the firm that presents the best value to the Owner based on the firm's experience, qualifications, proposal contents and after being selected, the negotiated price. The leading criteria are as follows: Firm experience on projects of a similar nature, and experience with the Owner. Background and experience of the Project Team, including consultants. Intent and general approach described in the statement. Approach in working with the Owner, its staff and community members. Past performance in meeting budget limits and time schedules. Current workload and ability to effectively staff the project. Overall suitability to provide the services as outlined within the time and budget. Firm's legal, financial, and performance history. Responses should be concise and to the point but should include the information necessary to communicate the information you desire. 1 . Name of firm, address, telephone number, business structure, contact person. 2. Do you have more than one office If so, which office will be assigned to work on our projects 3. What is your previous experience working with the Zane Trace Local Schools 4, Proposed internal timeline for providing the required services. 5. Provide specific information on project budget development and the firm's experience over the past 5 years with: preparing project estimates and construction costs, monitoring project costs, and completing the project within the initial budget. 6. List a maximum of 4 specific and unique qualities that set the firm apart from others as it relates to the required services for design and construction of school facilities and related improvements. 7. Provide specific information about any claims asserted against the firm or its professional liability carrier within the last 5 years, including the resolution of the claim. 8. Provide information about the insurance coverage that is carried by the firm, including professional liability insurance. The Owner shall make an initial determination of the top three candidates based on its evaluation of the statements of qualification received. In accordance with RC 153.69, the Owner may hold discussions with any firm that has submitted a statement to explore further the firms' statements of qualifications, the scope and nature of the services the firms would provide, and the various technical approaches the firms may take toward the Projects. Upon selection of the firm determined to be most qualified to provide the requested services, a services agreement will be negotiated in accordance with R.C. 153.69. Should the Owner be unable to reach an agreement with the top-ranked firm, it shall move on to the next top-ranked firm. The top-ranked firms who are not awarded a contract will be notified after a binding agreement between the successful candidate and the Owner is executed, or upon the Owner's rejection of all statements. Except as required by statute, the Owner reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify this procedure and criteria. Qualifications statements received from qualified firms will be retained in the file maintained by the Owner unless the firm specifically requests not to be included in this file. Each firm is encouraged to provide annual updates to the qualifications to keep them current. The file may be used for projects or design needs for which design fees are estimated to be less than $50,000 and for which there is a statement of qualifications on file that is less than one year old. Interested firms should be advised that the Owner is subject to Ohio's public records laws.
